"Gettin' Shiz Done"

Today, we were victorious. I can say that, because there have been days in Lux when we have really, truly not been victorious, but today--today was a good day. Russ has been calling it, "Gettin' Shiz Done."

Things We Accomplished Today:

1. Registered for a parking sticker: We can now park the car on the street in Neudorf and for two hours at any other destination in the city for free.

2. Finished finalizing utilities at Leo. (And checked out the farmer's market in Place de Guillame while we were in the neighborhood.)

3. Collected my brand spanking new French/English dictionary from the Post Office.

4. Got MKaart cards (bus cards) so that we can take public transportation in and around the city.

5. Bought airline tickets to go to MILAN, ITALY next week. (Don't mind if I do!)

6. Two words for you: AIR SHIPMENT! Yay! Clothes, blankets, even a few books and movies. No more living out of the same suitcases we packed before leaving Seattle. AND the cats got their Cat Tower back. They are very pleased to be once again lording over the living room on the world's ugliest piece of carpeted cat architecture. I even have my Kitchenaid mixer. Seriously moving up in the world.

7. Speaking of which, our new WASHER AND DRYER were also delivered and installed. No more having our friends do our laundry. No more being smelly people!

See? Progress.

In other news, Morgan is in love with the radiator. She's spent most of her day trying to figure out a way to live on top of it, but as the window sills are too low, she's been forced to compromise by splaying as much of her upper body across the radiator as possible while maintaining her back legs' footing on the sofa. Sadly, all attempts to get photographic evidence have been thwarted thus far. I'm going to come home one day and find her happily sporting grilled paninini marks from having lounged on the heater for so long.
